This week at the Market it's Bee Day! Scott Griffin, a beekeeper and the instructor with the Mount Holly Farmers Market's own Smith Apiary, will give an interesting program all about bees, followed by a free cooking demonstration by Chef Erin Denison. Also, if you are looking for local honey, both Eddie's Honeybees and Helms' Apiary will be there with honey for sale. We also welcome back the Piedmont Fiber Guild, which will do a demonstration as well. It will be a buzzz-y day!
The rest of the vendors at the Market this week will be Bud's Plants and Produce, Cindy's Greenhouses, King of Foods Inc., Indian Creek Farms, Ladybug Farms and Bakery, Lucky Fish, Nature's Way Farm, Riverbend Heritage Farm, Suzie Q's Farm, Thomas Family Farms, Two Moons Family Farms, Kim's Kitchen, North End Farm, and last but not least, Lineberger's Farm.
Our farmers will have fresh, local, and in-season produce for sale, including squash, zucchini, tomatoes, blackberries, cucumbers, and microgreens, as well as artisan bread, baked treats (including gluten free items!), eggs, goat cheese, seafood, pork, and chicken. Come enjoy the fun-- you won't want to leave empty-handed and you might even learn a thing or two ; )
